Question about Stanley Cup Finals game tonight?
Alright so tonight for my birthday I thought what better way to spend the day than to be out in Detroit for game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. My question is as stupid as it may be, do people usually gather outside Joe Louis and camp out while the game is in play? I know some teams have fans gathered outside during the duration of the game but I haven't heard of anyone doing it at the Joe. I don't want to pack a cooler and seats if I'm going to be the only one sitting outside cheering. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm actually downtown right now...(I work in one of the tall buildings right near Hart Plaza)...and people are already gathering...especially taking a picture of The Spirit of Detroit statue outside the City County Building...b/c it has on the large Red Wings jersey. They also have somethin set up at Hart Plaza already...which is an open park right next to COBO and Joe Louis Arena. (in case u didnt know) There will be plenty of people gathered there. It is going to be krazy downtown tonight :-) I'm not sure how old you are...but there are also alot of bars in walking distance of The Joe...and if your not old enough for bars...there are ALOT of restaurants...both types of places will be packed with fans...there are going to be numerous hockey fans all over...so pack your cooler...come on downtown...and have a great bday! lol...Personally...i'll be at the bar.
