Why would a female want to go through another female's computer?

I had a 'friend' visit me last year, just for the evening, and I put a password on my computer, as I didn't really know her that well, we were going to a concert together, hence why she stayed at mine for the night.

She slept downstairs where my computer is, and I told her she could use the computer and log in as 'Guest', she seemed fine with that.

She stopped talking to me after that, and when I queried it, she didn't reply.

I started having problems with my computer not long after, and was a bit suspicious, but didn't have any evidence.

I have now discovered through a file on my computer that she went through all my emails, and most of my documents/pictures and various sites on the internet, including my friends myspace sites, basically stalking them.

I have had to change all my passwords, on all my internet logins, and download most of the software which i had, as some programmes just haven't worked properly, since.

I am wondering whether to keep the evidence or delete it, although, I don't have any contact with her anymore, i just feel as though my computer has been totally violated and, as I am not a retributional person, just feel as though I should delete it and forget about it, just start all over again, even though I may have lost one of my friends because of her stalking.

Update:

I haven't had any contact with her since she 'walked away' last year. But, unfortunately, because of a mutual 'adoration of someone famous' our paths will always cross. I'm not bothered about that, I just want to know why would she go through all my personal stuff like that, I even suspect she took some stuff from my place, although I have no idea what as the room she slept in is basically where i spend most of my time.

Yes, my computer is my most personal possession, and I would trust any of my other friends with it.

I'm a woman, and in my marriage, I was the one with the computer game addiction. I wanted to play that game more than I wanted anything else, even sex or being with my husband or talking to him. Needless to say, it was really destructive to our marriage and caused a lot of pain and loneliness to my husband. He was always loving to me even though I didn't deserve it. He showed me kindness when I showed him indifference. Eventually his love won me over and I quit the game. Our marriage has been so much better since then, we have grown closer and I've just grown to appreciate the wonderful man I'm married to that I don't deserve. We only live one lifetime. Although the addictive force of the game and the intense but useless and imaginary pleasure it provides was extremely powerful, I am so glad to be living real life. We live one lifetime. I don't want to waste mine on sitting on a chair in front of a screen imagining that I'm doing something cool or worthwhile or fun when all I'm really doing is getting fatter and duller and more self-absorbed when there are actual human beings who need me and love me that I'm blowing off. I read about how video games overactivate the pleasure centre of your brain to the extent that you become unable to enjoy normal things anymore. Like a real conversation or watching a sunrise or swimming or hiking or making love with your spouse.

lol xD omg wat a terrible person. You should definitely not be her friend or even look at her, and basically start all over. Future advice- never let friends near personal stuff, and a computer is as personal as it gets.

She must've been on a porn site... which made your computer get a virus. Viruses can do the same thing you described
