NoKor: what do you think about this nation?

Question

Recently, the National Geographics channel featured North Korea in its program, showing the real life inside this communist nation. Thanks to the heroic exploits of its reporters who did this bold documentary...

What do you think about this nation? Are they gearing up for war or just bluffing. Considering the recent events:
-   underground nuclear tests
-   arresting the 2 US journalist accused of illegal entry
-   severing economic ties with SoKor wherein they demanded 4x increase on the salaries of NoKor workers and 25% increase in taxes of companies owned by SoKor near their boundaries
-   continously defying UN sanctions
-   strong stand to weaponize their plutonium

Totally bluffing. The leaders in that country have found that the "outside threat" formula keeps them in power and all their actions are meant to continue reinforcing that. I think they are relatively happy with the status quo and are rational enough to realize being overly aggressive would result in unpleasant military consequences that could threaten their hold on power.

If anyone hasn't been to North Korea's official website, it's hysterical and you should check it out. The content is often laughable and it looks like it was put together using 1998 web design technology.

Either they are the proverbial test monkey being shot into space by China or they are ruled by a guy who is as mad as a hatter.

Could be either one really as both are plausible.
