What happened to the writers for the late night David Lettermen show?

Matt Lauer said to Governor Sarah Palin, in David Letterman's defense, that it was a joke. (Lettermen's comment about Palin's daughter being knocked up by one of the players at the game, Sarah and her daughter were attending). Since when are comments like that funny? What happened to humor and not this crap these writers are handing over to the marionette's/talk show hosts.

Would Lauer find it FUNNY if Lettermen said his "joke" only this time referring to Lauer's little girl?

Well, Letterman is a Liberal and does not like Palin. Making a joke about a 14 year old girl getting knocked up was out of line. He should know better than to do a joke like that.

I think Lettermen was way out of line. You never bring anyones children into a conversation, when it is done in poor taste. No one wants their children talked about. Shame on him!!!!
