If you suffer from low blood sugar problems I envy you! Mine runs high.

Exercise is very good in any instance. Just eat lots of carbs because you will be walking a lot. Power bars are sugar bombs and give lots of quick energy but include some other things like trail mix that includes nuts and dried fruit (providing you have no allergy issues).

You don't indicate what your physical build is. so its hard to give advise. Just keep with the carbs, drink lots of water and you should have lots of fun.

I do lots of activities like hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding...etc.. my sugar can drop quite a bit and found tricks to keeping my sugar from being too high or too low.

before your trip you might want to have a good meal consisting of starchy foods (rice, potatoes, pasta) These take longer to breakdown and stay in your system for a longer period of time and will "stock up" on fuel

I always keep a pack on me with snacks like granola bars, grapes, gatorade, or a power bar. You should snack periodically to keep you sugars up. What works best are carbs and starches for the long haul since they last longer, and sugary foods like a sweet snack or gatorade for a quick sugar boost.

You can grab a tube of glucose gel at your local pharmacy, which works great for the moments you feel horribly low. Its very quick acting to help you feeling better sooner.
