What is wrong with my car?
Car: 1998 Toyota Camry LE V6
My check engine light flashes while I'm driving and my car shakes at very low speeds (< 5 mph). Once I speed up, the car drives normally. It's going to cost me almost $100 to get it diagnosed, however I think it might be the spark plugs. In my car though, it's laborious to get to the spark plugs and I don't have the know how.
Does anyone have an idea as to what may be wrong with my car?
I will give a best answer to the most helpful person.
Thank you in advance for your help.

take it to auto zone they will hook a scanner to your car for free and give you a print out telling you what is wrong...

The light will flash when you are putting a load on the engine while
there is an existing problem. This is not good. Do a simple scan
of your system at Autozone and try to narrow this problem down.
Do not erase the codes until you fix the problem.
The exact thing happens to Toyotas that are experiencing MIL
( malfunction indicator light ) problems. The light will go on, and
will flash when you are straining the engine . The Flash is telling you
to fix it immediately...as you are doing damage. Even when the light
is on for that matter.
I know all about this problem as I have a 95... The problem wound
up being the fuel injector, as well as the spark plug which was fouled
out because of the injector. Yes, I did have to remove the plenum
which is not fun...
Get a reputable mechanic to look this over for you if you are not
going to have it scan tested or fix it on your own.
$ 1000.00 is not a realistic price for such a small problem...Find
that reputable mechanic and you should get away with a much better price. especially if you can show them the code that was
produced by the scanner....
Good Luck to you...
Source(s): You will probably find that it is a particular cylinder that is misfiring. For whatever reason. You don't notice this at higher rpm's but it is still misfiring.....
