Consider the following situation:?
2 women and 5 men can finish a work in 4 days,while 3 women and 6 men can finish it in 3 days.
Express this in a pair of linear equations in 2 variables.Also,find days taken by 1 woman to finish the work and days taken by 1 man to finish the work.
in my book only the equation is given as 2/w+5/m=4
3/w+6/m=3.
But I don't know why we should use 1/w and 1/m as the variables!
Please help me!

3(6m+3w)=k

2m =1w
abhi, needs to find
a*m =k
puting all m for w in 4(5m+2w)=k
k=36m
so 1 mans takes 36 day for k
1 womans taking 18 day for k
1m = 36 day
1w= 18 day
is ok?
