I've read that Mary Jane is Patty Williams......Paul's sister. She was once married to Jack....many many years ago. He caused much drama in their marriage......she ended up shooting him many times and eventually left the show.

Soaps.com has just received word from actress Tammy Barr, that she will be appearing on the sudser as a young Patty Williams in a flashback had by Mary Jane! Tammy bears a close resemblance to the original actress who portrayed Patty, Lilibet Stern.

Yes I just figured it out today thanks to the episode today. She is Patty Williams, which is of course Pauls sister. She hasn't been on the show since the mid 80's when she had her thing with Jack and shot him numerous times because she found out he was only with her to become President of Jabot. Thats why Paul thinks he knows her because it's his sister and she said she couldn't put him in her enemies book. She is KINDA CRAZY!!

I asked this question about a month ago, and their were a few people who said Patty Williams, and their were quite a few people who said someone else. I'm glad that more people are going toward Patty in your answers. It makes sense, and I believe that's who she is.
