Hotel Advice in Milwaukee, WI.?

Can someone local to milwaukee tell me if the follow hotel is icky?

We're going to summerfest. My obession to have a hot tub in the room may over rode good judgement. I called around, very few places that are under 200, that weekend, with a hot tub/jazucci in the room. I booked at Rodeway - but is it kinda icky, like a hotel 6 right off the hightway? You know what I mean. lol Here is the address:

Rodeway

4400 S. 27th Street , Milwaukee, WI, US, 53221

If it's not like, holiday inn or better standards, please rocemmned a place in the area ? The good ones - astor, metro, iron horse and even comfort in - are too much or totally booked or have no jacuzzi. HELP!

Pfister has a spot, but is really "that" nice? Give up the jacuzzi nice?

Thanks :)

check the ones on S 13th St... there are several.. and near park and ride spots that you could bus right into the summerfest grounds and not have to worry about driving and parking at summerfest.... they just built a Staybridge Suites on 27th and Ryan which would also give you easy access to a park and ride.. thats the way to go so you dont have to deal with driving and parking..

The address indicates that it should be ok. Meaning it's not in the hood or anything. I have not been there myself so that's all I can say.

I would suspect it's at least as good as a Holiday Inn.

The Pfister - it's right across the street from where I work. I have not stayed there but it's the hotel of choice for my brother when he's in town, and he's $$ so that says something. And you will be able to walk to Summerfest from there....that's a consideration. The lobby is beautiful, if that means anything.

It's funny, but since I live here I can't tell you much about hotels in the area!
