exercises to become a better actress?

Well there is nothing better than experience. To help with singing I suggest working on scales and finding what range you're comfortable in. Acting wise you should really just try acting out unpracticed non-scripted skits. Put yourself into a situation and go with it. Also it sounds silly but narrate in your head certain situations. Just do as much acting as you can. A fun thing to do is talk to someone you don't really know and strike up conversation about your life but lie about everything. See how long you can go with it. (Make sure you'll never see that person again)

Also join your drama club or local theater group. At some point you will also need to take some professional acting courses.

Get a webcam and get an account on youtube... make up a few characters and have your own "tv show." You can be anyone you want and people will actually believe that is how you really are! LOL. Either that or you could just practice in front of the mirror... boringggggg.... haha ;) have fun!

I don't believe in exercises. I believe in acting. Experience is the best teacher.Just be in all the plays you can.
