LG TV remote is not Universal control. is work only for some LG TV. you able to get UNIVERSAL type from the market to Control both TV & DVD by one remote. * to use LG TV remote for Philips DVD. Sorry ! NO WAY *

Read the manual for the TV for instructions to program the remote for your DVD, if it is capable of that. If not, get a replacement OEM remote, or a universal remote.

How do you lose a remote...
Check in the toilet?
The fridge? (I actually put my remote in the fridge once by accident... LOL)
Trash? :O
It might be under the cushions or your couch/chair/whatever.
Oooorr... just get a new remote, hook it up, and it should work just fine.
You can always just look at their website or call them and they'll help you out.
