Fluid produced by the liver and stored in the gall bladder before secretion into the small intestine (duodenum) via the bile duct. It contains the bile salts, which function in the emulsification and hence digestion of fats, bile pigments (bilirubin and biliverdin, which are the result of breakdown of the haemoglobin of red blood cells), phospholipids, and cholesterol. It is alkaline, and hence neutralizes the acid from the stomach as the food reaches the small intestine. Relatively large amounts of vitamin B12 and folic acid are secreted in the bile and then reabsorbed from the small intestine. Most of the cholesterol and bile salts are also reabsorbed from the small intestine

Bile is a complex fluid containing water, electrolytes and a battery of organic molecules including bile acids, cholesterol, phospholipids and bilirubin that flows through the biliary tract into the small intestine
Essentially, the bile contains what is known to you and me as bile acids. These are needed by the body 4 digestion!
Also a lot of human waste products (assuming you are talking about humans) are eliminated from the body by secretion into bile.
Hope it helps! =]

Bile or gall is a dark green to yellowish brown fluid, produced by the liver of most vertebrates, that aids the digestion of lipids in the small intestine. In humans, bile is produced continuously by the liver (liver bile), and stored and concentrated in the gallbladder (gallbladder bile). After eating, this stored bile is discharged into the duodenum. The composition of gallbladder bile is 97% water, 0.7%[1] bile salts, 0.2% bilirubin, 0.51% fats (cholesterol, fatty acids and lecithin),[1] and 200 meq/l inorganic salts.[2]
