If you have Win XP home you can Start XP in safe mode usually this requires you to press one of the following F2 F8 or F12 it just depends on the motherboard manufacturer. Then You should be able to Log in as administrator click start>control panel>users and delete accounts with or without the user's password.

If its prevented you from logging into your computer, you can start the computer in safe mode by restarting and tapping the F8 key. Safe mode will display the hidden administrator account. This account is built in and can not be downgraded to a user. You can modify any/all settings by going to the control panel > Users > on the left click manage accounts.

Good Luck, lucky for you once you have the info its not too hard to fix that problem.

well you can use the default admin account when windows xp has a new user created as an admin it makes a secure backup im thinking maybe your daughter didint edit the bios for this so during the login screen where you choose a user just press ctrl+alt+del twice and it should go to a screen where it asks for username and password simply put username as administrator and password as password or leave it blank. btw just incase i got the ctrl+alt+del thing wrong press and hold ctrl+alt and press del twice. either one i forgot haha sorry but from there you can opt to use that account or create a new account. even if you create a new account that account will still exist

Go to Control panel > User Accounts > Change an account

From there you can edit, delete or change the power of any account of your Windows XP operating system.

    Hope this helped!

You have to start windows in "Safe mode" or "Safe mode with networking" if you want to connect to internet. (You have to press F8 before windows start).

Then, you have to enter the Administrator account and go to control panel, user accounts and delete all the unwanted users.

    You would need the password.

If no one has it, the next step is to perform a System Recovery, but that means you will loose all data on the computer.

You need to restore your computer to its factory settings with whatever method it uses. Then tell your Daughter to keep her cotton pickers off

just reload back to factory level/start over again/set it up like you want it/run all updates
