What do you think of this quote?

“I would rather be a man than a woman. If God had made me a man I would have been the worst son of a great whore ever born. Not a woman would have escaped me. Ave María! I’d have a woman everywhere, and if they didn’t give me what I wanted I’d kick my way in. That’s why God made me a woman, a real ***** of one. I’m forty now and I’ve had six husbands, and if I want, I can have six more. I wipe my *** with men.”

--Fernanda in "La Vida" by Oscar Lewis

From an anthropological study, the book is the subject of my dissertation. Fernanda was a real woman--real quote.

Update:

Victim mentality? Tissues? Does she really sound like she feels put upon? It sounds to me like she's the victimizer--and pretty unrepentant about it...

Serious sexual issues...! Serious man issues, serious issues with herself.

That girl needs a tissue for all those issues.

Well...yea. I didn't say anything about victims mentality. I'd agree that she's the victimizer in that scenario...quote. People that abuse/use other people A) have issues with the victim, B) have issues with the acts, C) have issues with themselves. She's the whole cracker!

That sounds like it comes from a woman who has trouble dealing with her 'victim mentality' because she was dumped once too many times by men.

'I’d have a woman everywhere, ' -- Now, who prevented her from having 'men everywhere'? And how far is saying that men have 'women everywhere' true? THAT, is Victim Mentality.

Sounds to me like a woman who wished men were more aggressive with her, and never found it so went to pretty great lengths to challenge the ones she was with.

Wouldn't touch her with a 10 foot clown pole =o/

She was real? And that's a real quote? Yikes on toast.

Sounds to me like she knew herself well, given that she called herself "a real ***** of a woman."

Sounds to me like she thinks that it's wrong for a man to use women but fine for a woman to use men. Whatever. She probably got what she earned by living like that.

That would depend upon the context in which it is to be used, wouldn't it?

I think that quote came from a person whose mind and life only revolve on sex. it's really pathetic.
