Confused about the Swine Flu Count?

Regarding the numbers of confirmed cases of Swine Flu/H1N1 that are being reported daily, is it a count of all the cases found since the beginning of the outbreak, or is it the actual number of cases in realtime (only those that are currently ill with the virus)?

well there is at least 30 dead in the US, but the numbers go up every day. It is not that deadly, but only to those that have other health conditions.

There are countless strains of flu viruses. Even the H1N1 has many strains. When they announce confirmed cases, that means they have tested the virus and it matches the swine flu that is spreading so fast. The patients may have already recovered and built immunity. But the count stays. So the count will only go up and will not come down when patients survived.

Current people who have swine flu. I stress that tamiflu does not cure swine flu it is still in your body but not giving any symptoms. It could be destroying your immune system getting it ready for a more severe wave of infections

    Realtime

I'd say it was the no. of cases since the beginning as it would be impossible to know which ones had completed the illness.
