yes they will grow, but they will most likely NOT produce SEEDLESS watermelon, but the mist likely WILL produce SEEDED watermelon because to grow a seedless watermelon, its seed has to be cross pollinated with a seeded watermelon. and the seeded watermelons have bigger seeds so they are dominant. however the seeds will not grow if they have been refrigerated past 50 degrees F, or if they were bought in a grocery store.

Seedless varieties are more difficult to grow than their seedier cousins but it can be done. Your best bet is to germinate these (pricey if purchased) seeds indoors at an optimal 85 dg F, and plant them outdoors after soil temperatures have warmed to at least 70dg F. It's easier to buy melon transplants and set them out when temperatures are in the 80s. Because seedless melons are sterile and produce little pollen, you'll need to also plant a normal pollinator variety of watermelon in the patch so the bees can pollinate the flowers. Approximately one-third of the plants in the garden should be of the standard or 'pollinator' variety. Honey bees are the principal insects that pollinate watermelons. Pollination is a must, as poor or partial pollination may result in misshapen fruit and no seedless melons this is necessary for the development of flavorful, well-formed fruit..
