My bowling ball cracked! Is this true?
I gave my kid a bowling ball for her birthday last year. She's 10. Today, we went bowling and the ball cracked. I took it to the shop at the bowling place (where I bought the ball), he said we could still use it. So we rolled it again, and a bit chunk cracked off. Now he says that the ball cracked because of the following reasons:
1. The child has grown and weighs more. So a 6 lb. ball is no longer appropriate.
2. The ball is not used often. A ball that sits in the closet gets weakened due to temperature changes.
Is any of this true?

Did you buy her a reactive resin ball?? They are quite fragile and will crack and/or break from extreme conditions or prolonged disuse. However, plastic spare balls shouldn't crack, to the best of my knowledge.
