OSX Macbook Pro not recognizing built-in camera--?
I have an OSX Macbook Pro that isn't recognizing my camera when I try to use video on facebook, Skype, or iChat. I've clicked on preferences in each instance and it said that a camera was not connected. When I click on the system preferences for the Mac, I can't locate the camera to see if its connected properly. Potobooth seems to be picking up the camera alright, but nothing else is. I recently downloaded the Adobe flash that allows you to post videos on facebook and I'm thinking that may have something to do with my camera's sudden elusiveness. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Try quitting Photobooth and restarting iChat and Skype. Photobooth hogs the camera and stops Skype and iChat from seeing it. Neither will detect the camera if Photobooth is on when you start them, even if you quit Photobooth you still need to restart iChat or Skype so that they can detect the camera. If Photobooth can see the camera we know it's working so a conflict like this should be the answer.

Try to re-install your camera's driver. It might have some faulty configuration during its first installation or just try to repair the installation using the cd driver.
