What is "Regular Mail?"?

A company I use says they mailed something to me by "Regular Mail." Is this First Class "2-3 Days" or Standard "Take Forever" Mail? No one at the company seems to know.

    Regular mail is snail mail. It could take a day or two, or it could take 10 days.

    regular mail is the cheapest offered by the post office, therefore, the slowest no rush mail 7 to 10 days.

    Regular mail is First Class, you know, with the postage stamp, gets there someday.
