Should i phone and confirm hotel room?
Hi,
I have just booked a hotel room for next week through a website. It was not the offical website of the hotel, but a discount site (Hotelpronto). I was wondering, in a few days i was giong to phone the hotel to confirm my booking. Do i really need to? Just dont want to show up and them having no knowledge of my booking - i have an email confirmation which i need to take along too.

Yes, call. It's not worth risking having nowhere to stay. Better safe than sorry. Call them and confirm. I always do that, even if I've booked with the official hotel site or on the phone. I don't want to be stranded in a strange city.
