  • When should i hand my notice in at work?

    Hi,

I am handing in my notice at work tomorrow, i am just wondering when i should do it. I am working tomorrow, should i hand it in before the start of my shift? At the end of the night? Or do you think i should wait until i have a day off to go in. I will be working with my manager in the evening alone tomorrow so might be awkward, but that wont matter.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks a lot :)

  • is 5 months enough for passport to Italy? UK passport?

    Hi,

I am going to Italy in February. My passport runs out in July. Do you think i should get it renewed just in case as i have read on some sites that your passport has to be valid for 6 months. Yet on the FCO website (British foreign office webiste) it says as long as your passport is valid.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    Thanks a lot.

  • Reference for a flat - can i use?

    Hello,

My boyfriend and I are moving into our first flat next month. The agent and land lord have asked us both for a character reference. The references can obviously not be family but they can be a family friend. Can i ask my boyfriends mother for the reference? Or will they not accept this? I ask because the surname will be the same as my boyfriends.

Should i do it or just get someone else to write one?

    Thanks in advance.

  • An anovulation cycle?

    Hi,

I have never experienced this before, so if you could help in any way please do or if you have experience with anovulation please could you tell me more about it.

I usually have a normal once a month period - i track it online - maybe every 6 months it will come a week early and change for another 6/7 months. I have heard that is normal.

But this month it has been different. It came a week early. I usually have quite a heavy flow and some cramping and sore breasts. This month i have hardly had any of that. At first it was brown blood which did not fill a full tampon - only half filled. The past 2 days i have woken up it has been very heavy - and red 'new' blood - which seems like a normal period. Then when i take out a tampon during the day it will be again half full.

So it is ranging from being heavy and then getting light to heavy again. So far for 3 days now.

    Has anyone experienced this before?

I guess there is a possibility of pregnancy but i use protection and nothing else feels 'odd' or different - just this. But maybe it could be pregnancy?

Any personal experience or advice would be great, thanks.

Please dont ask me to just go see a doctor, i want to know if it is a fairly common thing first - thanks in advance.

  • Where can i buy a black dress in a uk shop?

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to buy a black dress - just a lovely simple black dress. I have looked everywhere, even in shops i wouldn't normally. Anyone seen any recently? I would prefer to buy in store as it would be for the next few days so wouldn't be here in time if i ordered online. So if anyone can give me any shop suggestions then thank you VERY much!

  • Catalogue Distributor?

    Hello

I have just applied to a catalogue distributor company as a little part time job in my spare time. It is with the Kleenez catalogue. I am a student and already have a little job so wanted some extra money.

I am just wondering if anyone else does this? Either in the past or now. What kind of money is it roughly? And is it quite easy to do? Or is it too time consuming for what you get paid?

Im only doing it 3 days a week so i know that will affect the money i get etc, but i was just asking roughly.

    Thanks in advance.

  • was it a UTI or something else?

    Hi,

I had some pain - more like tingling, uncomfortable - when i was passing urine. This pain lasted about 2 days and was just above my pubic bone. I thought it was a UTI, so i made an appointment with my GP. I could not get an appointment until Monday (it was monday night i started noticing the pain). On wednesday morning this pain had completely gone. In the evening i got a cold - headache, some sore joints, raised temp and very tired. I slept for about 10 hours. Today - thursday - i feel fine. Looking on the internet, i cant help but worry about this and kidney infections. My question is - do you think it was really a uti if it ddisappeared within 3 days? could it do that? and would it have spread so quickly to the kidneys and cause a mini cold?

I kn ow i shouldn't take the internet to heart, but was just curious.

    Thanks in advance.

I was wondering could you do a one year course at the OU and if i take two Highers at college, do you think this would be enough to at least consider me at university when i apply?

Is this possible for the OU?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Can i take another persons cat to the vet?

    Hello,

For the last few months there has been a cat wandering around in our street. We know it belongs to but the owner has disowned it - they got a bird and a dog and now the cat is too scared to go in. She comes to my house a lot and i feed it. Can i take her to the vet without the owners permission? My other neighbor told her about the cat but the owner doesn't care.

Do you think i would eb able to adopt it? And could i take it to the vet or would they take it away from me or not see it because i have no paper work and it is not my cat.

I have become attached ot it now :)

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

  • He has a past, i don't?

I am in my first real relationship with a guy. He is my first real boyfriend. I am 19 years old.

My boyfriend has had many past girlfriends and sometimes i get very jealous of them. I know its not his fault obviously but i don't know why.

I also get jealous in a way that he has had all this past experience and i have had nothing. Just him.

I know he is 'the one' - we are even considering living together/marriage/a future. I just think sometimes how he has had past girlfriends and he can learn. i have only ever had him.

Do you think you should have some experience before even trying to fin the one? I didn't think when we first started going out he would be the one.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Jealously could ruin this?

    Hey,

I am in my first real, serious, adult relationship. It has been 7 months now - i know that isn't a huge amount of time, but it feels long to me.

This is my first real boyfriend, i have done my firsts with him.

He has had about 4 other serious girlfriends, so im not the first. I just get this - not so much jealous - but insecure? feeling.

I feel this could be a successful relationship, we are even talking about a future totogetherI just wish i was his first love.

Many say you never get over your first love, o maybe he just settled for me?

I dodon'tnow. I think this is just me. He sosometimesays little things bout his ex - like we used to so this after sex or my ex did this. I dodon'think its meant to be hurtful, but i feel like crying sosometimesr i become moody. Its very childish i know. I just wish that i was his first eeeverything

He does all these cute, romantic things - but what if he juJustid these top each girl? It wowouldn'take me feel special.

I dodon'tnow maybe i dodon'teserve to be in this relationship? If i cant handle it, should i bother? I dodon'tant it to end, i just hate knowing that he has loved another girl like he loves me now, how can he put a year rerelationshipehind him?

  • Hair drying naturally - curly, greasy?

Hair drying naturally - curly, greasy?

    Hey,

I have decided to give my hair a wavy look. i like the idea of washing your hair, plaiting it and then sleeping on it. I used to do this when i ws a kid, but now my hair gets greasy very quickly. I usually have to wash it everyday. I tried to wash it the night before, but in the monring it feels greasy.

I usually blow dry because if i let it dry naturally, it feels a little horrible.

I was wondering if i was to sleep on my hair wet, how could i avoid it looking greasy during the day?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Normal relationship or waste of time?

I have been going out with my boyfriend now for 3 months and everytime we are together we do sexual thins i.e blow jobs, fingering etc.I do enjoy it, but recently i am thinking it over and asking myself, could he possibly just like being in out relationship because of the physical things we do? We hang out about 4 times a weeka nd everytime we do these things. Is this normal? In your relationship - did you go these physcial everytime you both met up?

Is our relationahip a waste of time because when we hng out i sugegst doing soemthign like watch a film - which - we do but then we run out of ideas and just end up doing the sexual things - it feels like there is nothin else to do so just do that, it passes the time, although i do enjoy it most of the time.

What other thins could we do? Is this relationship really going anywhere if we have to rely on this? Will it get better? This is my first serious relationship so maybe this normal for a 18 year old relationship?

    Thank you in advance.
