was it a UTI or something else?
Hi,
I had some pain - more like tingling, uncomfortable - when i was passing urine. This pain lasted about 2 days and was just above my pubic bone. I thought it was a UTI, so i made an appointment with my GP. I could not get an appointment until Monday (it was monday night i started noticing the pain). On wednesday morning this pain had completely gone. In the evening i got a cold - headache, some sore joints, raised temp and very tired. I slept for about 10 hours. Today - thursday - i feel fine. Looking on the internet, i cant help but worry about this and kidney infections. My question is - do you think it was really a uti if it ddisappeared within 3 days? could it do that? and would it have spread so quickly to the kidneys and cause a mini cold?
I kn ow i shouldn't take the internet to heart, but was just curious.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for reminding me - first answer - i was drinking a bit more water to make sure i was going to the toilet more.

I had a UTI recently and I stopped feeling pain for about a week and assumed that it had gone away and then bam, the next week I was peeing blood! I'm not sure what happened exactly, but I guess it hadn't gone away after all. best to get these things checked out as soon as you notice them rather than chance going to the emergency room (as I did)

it could have been, often times UTI's heal on thier own if they're not severe or if they're treated with lots of liquids. Keep an eye on in though it may just be moving from the urinary tract to the bladder.

it was probably just a UTI, it does cause low vaginal pain and hurts/tingels when passing urine, it can go and come back whenever, without treatment, yur doctor will probably get you to do 2 types of urine infections so dont worry
