Briggs & Stratton I/C OHV Horizontal Engine Valve Clearance?
I have Briggs & Stratton I/C OHV Horizontal Engine — 205cc, 900 Series, 9.00 Gross Torque, 1in. x 2 7/8in. Shaft and I need to do service that require adjusting the valves...do I need to do that or not it has many hours on it and hard to start even after changing oil, spark, filter...I was told to adjust the valve but I do not know the setting and the in rod is it next to the handle or to the shaft?

This could be caused by a bent blade, sheared flywheel key, or a bent crankshaft. Also check the linkage on the carburetor. If a branch from the hedge got caught on the engine it may have snagged a linkage causing this issue. When searching on the Briggs & Stratton website for a manual include a leading zero in the model number like this: 09D902.
