People Who dont approve of gay marriage?

marriage what created by God and He intended to be between one man and one woman. why not have polygamy? or why cant siblings marry? if you change the definition of marriage you change the definition of a family then you change the definition of a culture. i have nothing against gay people or people being gay... i just dont think they can get married, call it something else

its all apart of a "secular agenda" to destroy morals and values and religions of all types. once you have gay marriage what will you want next???

i dont even like it when they adopt children. those kids grow up without a mom or a dad and its not healthy. thousands of kids grow up without moms or dads however and some turn out great but most do not succeed or some males have self-esteem issues with girls when they dont have fathers its not natural

this question im guessing was intended for people like me who oppose gay marriage so all of these butt kissers why are you even on this thread, and zeke if you question my answer why have this thread? you just want people to agree with you?

-that is true and that ive found is the only issue... why cant they call it something else such as domestic partnership its fine that gays are together because you cant stop them from loving eachother but why cant they call it something else so we dont wreck the sanctity of marriage that was created by God?

-cool so you have some sort of christian roots so you might know where im coming from... i have gay family members too. gay christian family members. now my true belief of gays is that its a "trial" throughout their life. they just have to deny their sexual desires, but even if they give in to those they still have time to repent and turn to God so i do believe they can be saved unlike some extremest christians who think theyl just burn in hell.

-gay people are only 2% of the entire human population so people are going to stop and stare when they see that oh so small 2% of mankind. now me living in california see homosexuals more often so we dont stare as much and they are more tolerated over here, even though we dont agree with what they believe in.

No, because that is your own personal choice. Just like it is someone elses choice to be in a gay marriage. Having your own beliefs/opinions won't make you a bad person, only a persons actions do.

I completely agree with you. There are a lot of things I don't like. Tattoo's, abortions, etc...Instead of wanting to make them illegal, I just make sure I don't do those things. I have NO RIGHT to demand that others don't do those things, because i'm not an idiot, i know that a woman aborting her baby, or someone getting tattooed, or people of the same sex getting married isn't hurting me in any way. Plus if you have a good family it will be easy to pass your values on to them about all these things, making it easier for them to not partake in those things that may bother you. I agree with you 100%. So tired of people using the slippery slope anology which is that if gays marry it will lead to other stupid things like animals marrying, etc. People that use that approach are completely stupid.

Actually, YOU started the argument, by asking this question. My family, friends and acquaintances all agree that gay marriage is wrong. My husband and I agree it's wrong. We aren't raining on anybody's parade. As a matter of fact, we talk to people who are gay every day. I have employees who are gay. However, I do not allow any kind of conversation regarding their so-called "rights" in my office. Most of my employees are not gay and it isn't fair to them. Heterosexual people are not interested in what gay people think they "deserve". We don't support something that is, in our belief, immoral. It's just the way it is.

That said, why don't I believe in gay marriage? If we were meant to be gay, we would have been made that way. If we were meant to be accepting of gay people, we would be. Deep down in most people's hearts, we know that the man and the woman are the intimate couple. We were created that way.
