Best and worst places to sit for a baseball game?
My boyfriend is a Phillies fan and I was thinking of taking him to a game for his birthday. There is only one problem. I have no idea what are considered really bad seats. When I chose "Best Available" all that seems to be left are tickets in the outfieldish area near the baselines furthest from home plate. (Ok, I realize I have NO clue what I'm talking about, but I'm doing my best to describe the location). Are those terrible seats?
Any recommended websites where I can purchase cheaper tickets?

Try to get field level seats along the first or third base lines without passing the bag. In other words, keep them in the infield. If you can't get field level, then get higher level seats with the same location on the field.

Try not to get stuck in the rock pile...although they are good priced tickets they are impossible to see from. Right behind home plate is a great place to sit. Definitly try not to get the nose bleed section. I would also recomend going to a game in the middle of the day on a week day because it won't be so busy which means you will get better seats at a better price

You should try to sit just above the left field wall or sit on the first or thrid base side on field level. Seats in Philly are probably more expensive than they are in the South. Good question. I hope this helped!

if he just wants to go to a game and not even really pay attention you can sit in the outfield, it wont matter....if he actually would want to pay attention to the game get them in the infield, behind homeplate would be perfect, or near 1st or 3rd.
look for tickets on stubhub.com season ticket holders will sell ticket on there for below face value, and theres a good seating map where you can see where the seat is
