the topic is causes of conflict between parents and teenagers. What i was planning was comparing them from same ethnic families in different locations. However I have came to a problem with the fact that the topic will become the difference in the conflict and how the parents deal with it. Help please...

One cause of conflict could be the authority differences between a parent and child. When I was a teenager I know that I didn't want to be controlled, but my parents felt as though the age that I was, was the time I needed to be controlled the most.

What about the topic of how parents all over the world actually deal with the same basic conflicts with teenagers. For example, all parents deal with teens wanting freedom, privacy, etc. From that viewpoint, it will show that parents and teens are actually the same, even if they are on the other side of the world.
