Do we as veiwres really have a say in how a story line is written?

If we are indeed sick of the whole theme of the bold and the beautiful and the writers know this..why won't they make some changes to keep us interested, most of my aquaintenaces have stopped watching..me too if Ridge goes back to Taylor yet again...

I think writers do care about what it's viewers think. But storylines and scripts are written months in advaced. Filming begins weeks before it airs. Shows are on such tight budgets and deadlines they can't really change a storyline midstream for the fans. I believe the writers take fans concerns into consideration and when a perfect break in the storyline fits they will change then.

Of course we have an impact. If we don't watch, they don't make money, and therefore they're gonna have to change things around if they want to succeed in what they do.

If you hate the way the storyline is going, let em know! Give em a piece of your mind through a well organized email of some sort! Don't get irate though, because that won't solve anything.

Unfortunately, the only real impact we can have is to stop watching. If the writers or TPTB cared how we felt about characters or story lines it would be easy enough for them to find out. As you know, soap fans are VERY willing to give their opinions. You'd think that in these tough economic times, with budget cuts and cancelation looming, that they'd start to pay more attention to the fans before they lose them.

I think we have a say, whether they listen that's another story. Some of us say we our not going to watch but we still watch. I don't think these soaps will be around forever with budget cuts, economy and soaps are very expensive to run. So I will keep complaining and I will keep on watching. After 30+ years why stop now.

And if anyone is sick of Brooke and Ridge it's me! Especially her and those stupid face's she makes.

not that much really- shows are filmed 2-3 months in advance and written least a week or two before that- often story arcs are outlined Months in advance of the actual scripts-- sometimes changes are made but overall the writers/producers have the most say

I think the veiwers have some say in what happens. Like if u r really mad about a storyline and u e-mail, or send mail to the writers I think that they might listen.

The only way we can have an impute is to start a write in campaign..............The Bell family rule that show...........and as you can tell..............they aren't very good writers................they just don't know how to keep us interested...............and now with Ridge on pills............and going back to Taylor..............we are just sick of all of this...............

But do we really want to write? Its up to us............but if we do ..........we all have to have the same story.............and let the Bell's know ;how we feel♥
