Muslims do it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Turn on BBC or MSNBC at any given time and you will see, within the hour, that this is absolute, undeniable fact.
Some "religion of peace"!
Islam may mean "peace" to some, but to the rest of the world it means "terrorist" and "a few sandwiches shy of a picnic"...

Your lumping all killing as wrong. Is self defense wrong? Is defense of others wrong? And as far as the person who said more people killed in the name of religion obviously isn't aware of the communists track record. And they get the gold medal for achieving this in a record brief blip in history (100 years). Oh and in case I forgot to mention the communists referred to themselves as officially atheists. Of course George Carlin was a comedian not a respected historical authority.

No it is not wrong if it is to defend the All Merciful God. Prophet Mohamed himself killed many in battles in the name of God. So how is it be wrong to others ?
See the following statement too:
Al Qu'ran Surah 9 - Bara'ah(the Ultimatum ):
[9:5] Once the Sacred Months are past, (and they refuse to make peace) YOU MAY KILL kill the idol worshipers when you encounter them, punish them, and resist every move they make. If they repent and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), you shall let them go. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
So it has happened and it will happen in future too.
[If any 'thumbs down' it ought to be for the above statement I think. ]

Obviously not; more people have died in the name of god than anything else.
I am personally a fan of each person deciding for themselves what is right or wrong, and not binding themselves to the ethics of others, but I personally think that unjustified killing is wrong, and it violates a basic right.

It is wrong to kill. No matter which God you mean, nobody has the right to take away life because you cannot give it back. Only God gives life and death.

It is wrong to kill in God's name, period. There are times when killing is appropriate for example to save the life of another or yourself. Many have argued that "God is on our side." I am not sure God takes sides in war. God wants humankind to live by his commandments including Love God with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor. Follow these and you will please God.
Godspeed.

Yes. Since god is not in any harm from people saying he doesn't exist, killing for him is a very bad thing.
