Dealing with very PICKY clients.?
Right now, we're designing some websites for people, but every time we think that the design is perfect, the clients come in with a major request that totally over extends the amount of time we wanted to devote to their website. What tips would you recommend we do to be able to squash this problem before it starts.

Charge by the hour. Tell them that we will make the design for this price and then ever hour after we complete it that you want something different we are going to charge you.
I hate people like that. Especially when its a Major thing.

Charging by the hour as someone suggested is a good thing, but sometimes it doesn't really fly with the client. What you should do is specify in your contract (yes, hopefully you have a contract, that's the first step) how many revisions/modifications to the design after the first draft is delivered are included. That way you can refer to it if they want to go past that, and usually if there is a contract with that clause on it, they will be careful not to. Hope this helps.

Each time they make a change, charge them a substantial fee!
