I'm going to new york at the end of july for a week, what clothes do I take?

I'm travelling from the UK I'm only in my 20's. I'm pretty clueless anyway when it comes to fashion but whats the current fashion in new york at the moment, or whats everyone wearing so I can atleast buy something fashionable when i'm over there.

it will definitely be super hot.
i'll put some outfits together from sites we have here and you can use it as inspiration and create something similar from your own clothes.

basically, layers. [cardigans. left open!], tank tops and shorts; dresses, a skinny belt, strappy sandals; never go wrong with a v-neck and jeans, with maybe a light scarf; tuck a thin flowy shirt (or the white v-neck) into a skirt. the thing about this stuff is that you can mix and match it all - wear the sandals with every outfit, the cardigan with any outfit, switch the v-neck to go with the shorts and the tanks to go with the jeans, etc...

New York! Fun!

It depends where you're going in NY, is it artsy, like Brookyln? Or Manhattan?
NY is generally pretty crazy, and highend, so I think you can take fashion risks. Don't wear anything that you would lie on the couch and watch movies in, our sleep in. Especially not out.
Little dresses, bohemian clothes, artsy, bright colours, and hot tops are all good in NY. They're very fashionable. If you've ever wanted to try anything with fashion, I think this would be it. Go crazy with leggings, or crazy hats, because no one would judge you there. I think they'd admire you!
