Clomid and Metformin. Did it work for you?How long did it take?

I got on Metformin last year around August & my doc has worked me up to a dose of 750mg per day. My stomach couldn't handle any more than that. Then in March I started Clomid. Nothing happened the first time except I got so bloated & cramped so bad I thought for sure it would never work for me. My doc encouraged me to try it again as this could be normal since I probably haven't ovulated in years. In April, it worked & I am 8 weeks 3 days pregnant with our first baby. I had virtually no side effects from the Clomid 50mg that month. We also prayed really hard. Good luck!!!

I took both at the same time i did 5 cycles of clomid and was not able to get pregnant. I finally gave up went off everything. I stopped trying and figured if it was meant to happen it would happen on its own. I couldn't deal with the disappointment every month. A month after coming to peace with possibly not being a mom i found out i was pregnant. I am now almost 35 weeks. Your time will come whether its with the help of clomid and metformin or without anything. Good Luck
