Why are we Christians allowing the blind to attend church services?

The verse here clearly shows that blindness is caused by God.

Exodus 4:11

Who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

And He has commanded us to not allow blinds to approach the Lord's alter (or church, in which He is worshipped).

Leviticus 21:17-23

Whosoever ... hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. ... Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries.

However, too many Christians have liberalized and ignore these laws too casually. They somehow think that following only the laws of the Bible that suit them politically, such as persecuting homosexuals and condemning abortions, makes them Christians. However, they are wrong! These Christians must be taught the right ways.

I am not saying that I disagree with your condemnation of homosexuals (I will discuss abortion at a later time, I promise). We must fully persecute homosexuals until we are at a suitable position to take away all of their civil rights. I am just saying that we should follow EVERYTHING.

God bless.

It's impossible for any supernatural being to create the world in 7 days. Mary wasn't a virgin, she had sex and had a baby. Jesus is not the messiah, because there will never be a messiah, because God is non-existent. Some idiot got high and wrote the bible, burning bushes don't talk and dead people can't be resurrected. No one can turn water to wine. And I wasn't created by God either, my mom and dad had sex, sperm met egg and grew into me, who was then born when I came through my moms pelvis and into the world through a tiny little hole. It's all inside your pathetic little heads that there is a God.

It is very sad when someone suffers at the hands of a 'priest', 'father', 'rabi' or whatever the name is given at that one who claims to 'represent' God. It is even more sad - at the risk of sounding like Billy Joel - when someone uses a stupid controversial name, declares herself an atheist (copying a name from a religious book) and quotes a few sentences in the Bible to prove...what? Her ignorance on the subject? Her lack of understanding of what should have read in the first place, so as to present a case with merits in regards to her antagonism or disagreement. The truth is - 666 (the name of the beast is) that Leviticus was explicitly declaring the standard for those who would represent the Almighty as "priests" and offer atonement for the rest of the people. It had nothing to do with the regular folks. It is ONLY addressed to the "priests", from the tribe of Levi. The regulation applied not only to them - humans - but to the animals being offered to God. Blemish less and undefiled. That had nothing to do with the mercy and compassion offered because of different handicaps; Jesus broke the Sabbath (the most highly respected festivity in whole Israel) only to cure a lame man. Then, He made the question "Is it lawful to do good on Sabbath?" Your quote is not only misleading, it's silly. Sad.

What you are saying is 100% taken out of context. No where in Exodus does it say Church it is referring to the tabernacle. Churches did not exists until 330 CE long after G-d finished writing the Bible. And your source from Leviticus refers to Priests (Cohanites) eating from sacrifices and gifts given to G-d, in the Tabernacle/Holy Temple, and if they had a blemish they could not work or take part in the service. It is not talking to people in general only a select few and since Cohanites are Jews it has nothing to do with Church attendance. Perhaps you need to research more prior to asking such a question.

First of all Christians are no longer under the Mosaic covenant. That was written for the people in Moses' and Aaron's day.

Second of all it was not talking about attending religious services. It was talking about making a burnt offering in the tabernacle.

Third, I failed to see where it said God caused their defects.

You misunderstand the passage. In the Jewish law sacrifices were to be from the best of the herd. They were not to offer to God seconds, but the best, the first fruits. And so it was with his priests. They were to be the best. This passage refers entirely to the priesthood of Aaron. It does not refer to the others.

While we are at it, why not left handed people too? I mean, they do nothing wrong, don't harm you at all, you can't just tell by looking at them that their left handed, it's not even their fault, but who cares right??? geez

So what if you got in an accident tomorrow and lost your sight? You would be okay with being kicked out of church?

Hey! The blind can put money in the collection plate, just like everyone else.
