What would be your dream romantic weekend getaway?
There's nothing better than a sizzling weekend away with the one you love. What would be your dream romantic short break?
Would you head to a bustling city for a night out on the town, or would you visit the country for some long romantic walks? Perhaps wine tasting would be more your thing, or would you spend the weekend enjoying the splendours of a luxury resort?

My ultimate weekend retreat with the love of my life is always at a gorgeous cottage in The Promised Land, adjacent to The Never Never River, just past the quirky, eclectic town of Bellingen inland from Coffs Harbour.
With wide open countryside; a divine cabin with simple luxuries like a spa and barbecue; a couple of horses grazing nearby; a donkey who loudly beckons my loved one (with whom he has become rather fondly attached .. the donkey has become attached.. not my loved one... oh never mind); an everchanging mountain vista from a spacious rustic verandah; lonely level roads for the amateur bicyclist like me (who has a tendency to kiss the ground); a nearby creek with the clearest water to take a "very quick" dip; a tennis court and a games room for a little fun competition (I let him win of course because ... well he always wins, and I get a little bit agitated by that, but he likes to see my angry dance and then we kiss ... (but enough of that).
It's all about being together, being in love, and having fun.

If I was still living in England or holidaying over there, I would definately take the Eurostar train into Paris. The culture, the ambience, architecture, nightlife, shopping and above all the food cannot be beaten especially when shared with a loved one. Steaming hot chocolate and fresh croissants, scrummy. I've been to Paris 3 times already and will go again when I'm up that way. Will probably be Jan 2010, have never been there in winter!!!

A weekend away from the kids on either Hamilton Island or Brampton Island having a romantic candle light dinner, and a romantic dance. We would also have a nice walk along the beach after a nice lunch.

The only way to know for sure is to ask him where you stand and where this is going. Be prepared to hear something you might not want to hear though. He could still love his wife but not in that romantic way...you just don't or won't know until you ask him about it. Did she know he went away with you? If so, I'm betting they're just still close and care about one another but not in love with one another. Plus, he took YOU on a trip. You have nothing to lose by asking him, and if you do hear what you don't want to hear, at least you found out sooner before later and at least you got to go on a wonderful trip and have a nice time with someone fun. Good luck!

Anywhere with my husband would be romantic, as long as our 3 children are taken care of, I wouldnt care where we ended up. After 10yrs of marriage and not having any weekends together since the honey moon, any where would be fantastic... But will have to wait now till the kids leave home. LOL......We will be over 50 then!!!! But we can dream about time alone, not everyone is lucky enough to have it. :o)

I would love to spend the weekend at a luxury resort with either Karl Urban, Gerard Butler, Jason Statham or Vigggo Mortensen in a beautiful warm sunny location and we could talk about the movies they have made and the experience. Also a nice cuddle of course.

A surprise - picked up from work early and whisked away.
A quiet weekend in an out of the way place where you can go for quiet walks together - ocean or mountains:
Leisurely breakfast delivered to your room
Walk to a picnic lunch in a tranquil setting and wile away the afternoon.
A nice quiet restaurant with beautiful views - opportunity to dress up - candlelight, nice wine, delicious dessert.
Quiet stroll and ......
Leisurely breakfast delivered to your room
Travel home meandering through back roads and exploring towns / villages, with lunch in an out of the way cafe.

a secluded bungalow on a tropical island,
with cocktails, and fruit for the day...wine and beautiful hot dishes for the night, that the waiter brings in when you press the buzzer..
lots of soft pillows, a big bed...i big bathroom with a nice spa bath and lots of bath oils
the lapping of the waves as you sit and do nothing, just relaxing and revelling in the presence of the person i could never live without.
everything made out of cane and bamboo
i dont even know if that place exists, but its what i dream about
