I believe these are what you want:
l Peter 3:15 But in your hearts reverence Christ the Lord, always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence;
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt,so that you may know how you ought to answer every one.
