Can anyone tell me what low hormone's mean in a woman?
ive just been told that the average Level for my age is between 3 and 11 but that mine is 0.1 they referred me to a gynaecologist because they cant explain why my hormones are so low so now they have left me scared and wondering whats going off with my body can anyone tell me whats wrong or at least why my hormones could be as low as they are thanks
by the way im only 21 so dont think its mopause and im not on drugs in anyway shape or form im perfectly healthy other than this
i went to the doctors for routine tests as i been losing weight and having no periods i had my thriod checked iron leavls and glucose and sugar leavles checked as i thought i was diabetic im trying not to worry but the doctor i saw couldnt explain why or what was wrong except my hormone leavles for my age are low and way below average she didnt have a clue.

We have a couple of different hormones to which you may be referring. If it is your estrogen level, it could be because you are menopausal or premenopausal, you could be taking drugs - prescription or non - which have an effect on those levels, you could have a tumor or other ailment which needs some attention. Most important is that you keep the gynecology appointment and learn more from the Dr. At this time, there is not enough information to determine the reason. You need the medical answer.

How old are you?? Did they do a progesterone test or what type of test did they do to find out? If it is your progesterone level is that low it just means you are ovulating. Are you on any type of medication? I wouldn't worry too much, just ask your ob/gyn the next time you see her.
