Pool pump keeps tripping the circuit breaker.?
The pool pump kept tripping the circuit breaker and the electrician said the motor was shot. The pool guys replaced the motor, the heater manufacturer replaced the switch on the heater and the breaker still trips. It runs a few minutes, then trips. Now what?
yes it was the circuit breaker. A mouse had a huge nest in there. As it did in the heater. It is all working now. thanks all!

Well the switch on the heater has nothing to do with that first off. And secondly usually it is the winding in the motor that have gone bad. Sound to me like its more of a electrical problem possibly even with the breaker itself. They can wear out and trip easier the older they are. But if the breaker is tripping and the pump is the only thing hooked up to the circuit then I would look at it being the breaker or the motor is drawing too many amps

Make sure it's a dedicated circuit. In other words only the pool pump is on that circuit.
