confederation'c cup and conacaf or concaf?

the FIFA Confederations Cup is restricted to 8 teams from their respective confederations, the current FIFA World Cup champions & the host nation. the tournament is basically dubbed the mini 'FIFA World Cup' is usually held one year before the actual FIFA World Cup takes place at the same country. the FIFA Confederations Cup is now considered a dress-rehearsal for the FIFA World Cup it precedes; it uses around half of the stadium intended for use at the following year's FIFA World Cup and gives the host nation, who qualify for that tournament automatically, a vital taste of competitive football during two years of friendlies.

the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament is open to all national football associations in North, Central America & the Carribbean. the tournament is held every 2 years & there will be 12 teams featured in the tournament. there will be a series of qualifying matches to decide which 12 teams would qualify to play in the tournament.

Host (usually same as host of next World Cup)

UEFA (European) Champion

AFC (Asian) Champion

CAF (African) Champion

OFC (Oceanian) Champion (basically New Zealand, as Australia now plays in AFC)

CONCACAF (North American) Champion (usually either USA or Mexico)

CONMEBOL (South American) Champion
