Ways to improve this makeup?

Okay, I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaly looking to improve myself in makeup. :(

Anything I should have done differently? Tips to make things look better that are messed up here?

Something that could have made it look better if I had added to it?

http://swimmengal.deviantart.com/art/Snow-White-in...

(photographer is linked to in the discription)

also, the fake lash I had on kept falling off ^^;;;

the photographer edited it out though, so I'm nto sure if it's something to even bother mentioning.

Update:

and I hope that I don't need to add this, but that's NOT my everyday look.

Update 2:

ahaha, you have no idea what the other side of my cheek looks like XD

It was much thicker on that side, because I had added some random thing on that cheek, then tried to not hit it while putting on blush. Looked aweful...

Also,this wasn't Disney Princess Snow White, it's more based off the idea of the Grimm Brother's Snow White tales.

So I think the heaveyness fits that, as their storys are very dark. ;)

Update 3:

@gamer

okay, more blending! (and yea... it was very rushed ^^;;;;; we were loosing light outside, and the air contidoner was broken- so I just wanted to get out...)

...

do you have any blending tips? I can't ever get anything to blend out nicely...

Update 4:

ah... I'm already using a MAC blending brush. It just refuses to budge when I go over it....

Update 5:

ah, I used the CS 88 pallete shadow for that... I've not heard of people have trouble with it though. So I guess I'm just bad with it.

ah....practicing.... How I know you so well, but get so fed up with you....

Update 6:

I'm saying 'ah' far to much...

Update 7:

I forgot to respond to the part on the lips, no I acually don't have any lip liner. So I didn't use any, but as I said the air conditioner was broken...

And my lip gloss (that usually doesn't get that messed up) was melted ^^;

    Blend the blush on the cheeks better. It looks a little weird. It shouldn't look so standout on the cheeks. It should almost blend in with the skin without having rough "edges".

    And the eyeshadow on the eyes should be blended better as well. One of the most important things with makeup is BLENDING. Blend like crazy. And the white eyeliner looks a little sloppy. If you look at the red shadow, it almost looks like a "patch", do you know what I mean? That should be very blended in with the other colors and it should have apparent "edges". Makeup should have a very soft edge, or a really hard defined edge. But no rough unfinished edges.

    The lips look a tiny bit sloppy too. Did you use lipliner? It looks like it's slightly bleeding.

    The whole look could be cleaner overall, it does look a tiny bit rushed or something...

    But good start. Very dramatic. Keep practicing, that's the only way to get better.

    Edit- Buy good brushes. I know they're expensive. Haha. But a good blending brush is so so so important. And honestly, blending is fairly easy... you just have to, blend! Haha. It does take a little bit to "master", but work on it. Try putting two different colored shadows on and blend the two together to create a perfect blended look, so there's no definite stop between the two colors. And then blend the edges of the shadows to make a perfect soft blended edge.

    Think of it as making it almost fade, or gradient into your skin or the other eyeshadow colors. It just makes it look so flawless and beautiful.

    Google make up tips, or watch makeup tutorials on youtube. Honestly, you will find every possible tip you'll ever need on the internet. Haha. Youtube is a great place for makeup tutorials. There's thousands of them.

    A Mac brush is a great brush to use actually. Then it's either your eyeshadow, or your technique. You really have to work at it to make it look perfect. It really does take some practice. Practice. :) That's how we all perfect it.

    Too much blush. Your cheeks look WAY too red, especially with Snow White having pale skin and all Lol.

    I'd also say that the eye makeup is very prettty, but it should appear softer. I just always imagine Snow White being this soft, kind person. The eye makeup is too dark and lined.

    But it is very pretty :]

    1. Don't share: Sharing makeup with others, whether they are your girlfriends or random strangers at the cosmetics counter, is one of the easiest ways to spread bacteria. You can contract the herpes simplex virus, which leads to painful, unpleasant-looking cold sores, from using other people's lipsticks—even if the person has no visible signs of a cold sore. You also increase your chance of lip dermatitis, or chelitis. But eye products are the ones to really watch out for. Sharing mascara wands or eye makeup can spread highly contagious pink eye (conjunctivitis) or worse—eyelash lice. If you are trying on makeup in a store, be sure to ask for single-use applicators or, if you have to use shared instruments, ask that they be sterilized before they touch your face.

    2. Throw out the old stuff: Do you have a drawerful of old or half-used cosmetics? Get rid of them. As cosmetics age, preservatives are used up and become less effective. Dr. Angela Bowers, a dermatologist at Baylor Regional Medical Center, says that women can develop peri-oral dermatitis from using old products, a condition causing acne-like red bumps on the skin. To make your products last as long as possible, be sure to read the label for storage directions. Typically, products should be kept in cool places, where they are not exposed to extreme conditions. Bowers says leaving makeup in a car over the summer can cause products to quickly deteriorate. Although not required by law, many cosmetics will have expiration dates—usually three to six months for eye products and up to one year for creams and powders. If you are worried about a product, try a simple sniff test. "If you notice that the color has changed, the consistency has changed or it doesn't smell the same, it's probably a sign that you don't want to use that product anymore," advises John Bailey, executive vice president for science at the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CFTA). "If it cakes or starts to build up and it's hard to put the top on, then you should replace that too."

    3. Replace your applicators: If you've had an eye infection,

    I would love to see the eyeshadow a different colour and not red.... I love greens, olives and bright greens.... MAC has heaps of nice greens.
