Obama is unaware, or just doesn't care?

Mr. Alipour was shot in the head as he stood at an intersection in downtown Tehran. He was returning from acting class and a week shy of becoming a groom, his family said. The details of his death remain unclear. He had been alone. Neighbors and relatives think that he got trapped in the crossfire. He wasn’t politically active and hadn’t taken part in the turmoil that has rocked Iran for over a week, they said…Upon learning of his son’s death, the elder Mr. Alipour was told the family had to pay an equivalent of $3,000 as a "bullet fee"—a fee for the bullet used by security forces—before taking the body back, relatives said.Mr. Alipour told officials that his entire possessions wouldn’t amount to $3,000, arguing they should waive the fee because he is a veteran of the Iran-Iraq war. According to relatives, morgue officials finally agreed, but demanded that the family do no funeral or burial in Tehran. Kaveh Alipour’s body was quietly transported to the city of Rasht, where there is family. This seems to be an honored tradition with brutal totalitarian dictatorships throughout history.President Barack Obama’s administration said earlier this month it would invite Iran to US embassy barbecues for the national holiday for the first time since the two nations severed relations following the 1979 Islamic revolution."There’s no thought to rescinding the invitations to Iranian diplomats," State Department spokesman Ian Kelly told reporters. The State Department has said that the invitations are largely a symbolic gesture of goodwill and that the July 4 barbecues were not intended to take up substantive policy matters…Yes, we certainly must show Iran symbols of our ‘goodwill.’ Especially at this time. After all, if we aren’t nice to these murderous thugs they might not stop their nuclear program, like we are asking them to. I think Obama just doesn't care in the least about their actions, in fact, he is tacitly supporting this kind of barbarism. What do you think?

Update:

Silverbullet, how about rescinding their invitations, for starters.

There is little that I see as good when it comes to his foreign policy. Obama, so far, has apologized for what had happened under other presidents' watches and told dictators from outright threatening nations that he would hold open talks with them. It is truly saddening.

The fact that he's doing little, other than talking, is really not a stretch nor is it a surprise. Don't be alarmed if you live in Hawaii and you see missiles floating over your head. It's just the Obama fireworks in town. I hear they love him there.

You have to remember, government officials do not speak for everyone in their country.

And by the actions of the thousands of people that have and still are protesting the rigged election, the days of being ruled over by an oppressive government system is nearing the end.

Not all Iranians are murderous thugs.

They all don't support Hamas or Hezbollah, like their current president does.

And by the amount of protesters, and lack of support from Iran's clerics, it's more than apparent they want a change.

With Prez Camel Nose in office, there won't be any peaceful negotiations.

Last I checked, Obama was not in charge of Iran's security forces, or their policies.

He may be a traitor and coward, but you can't blame him for this one. What exactly do you think he should have done about it, assuming he was even aware?

Obama is a coward, or a traitor. I cannot decide which.
