Is North Korea a threat to the Philippines?

Any threat to the entire world is also a threat to the Philippines.

The latest news in U.S. is that North Korea threatens to wipe the U.S. off the map if the U.S. interferes with North Korea's missiles business.

The moronic Kim Jung Il will not stop saber rattling until he gets the attention he wants from the world. I doubt any country will want to start another war, and that includes North Korea. But the U.N. can embargo idiot Kim's supply of fine wines, cheese, steaks and pornographic materials coming from the West. The UN should also try to steal his captive European chef. That should give NKorea's primping leader food for thought.

In my opinion, upon observing their way of life, they are threat to the world. They give importance only to themselves. Can you imagine if these people will be a friend to all of other countries, they will also get a lot of benefit. War has long been a trend.

All leaders of other country that instigating trouble, they have a very obsolete brain and not far away from a troubled kid in the street in comparison. Very obsolete and no chance of advancing his country through other way. Their way is always the obsolete barbaric way and to brag how strong their country is - so pathetic.

Kim Jung Il need to stop making missiles and use that money to buy some new clothes and join Jenny Craig program. I been to Korea before. Those girls over there are sex freaks.

Besides that, Kim Jung Il got no reason to hate Philippines. As far as I know he never been here. You gotta come here to really hate it.

I wouldn't worry about it. You would be pretty far down the list. Biggest risk would be an errant missile. They don't have enough fissile material to do more than a very few warheads.

They're much more likely to sell the stuff for cash to rogue states or terrorists than they are to launch any themselves. Any attack on the U.S, Japan or S. Korea would be suicide. As nuts as Kim Jong Il might be, he's got to know that.

Kim Jong ill --gets his hands on nukes not only you people in the Phils have to worry, the whole world will be wetting its pants. Combine that threat in our part of the world with the Iranian dictator having nukes as well, and I reckon it will bye bye planet Earth.

yes.. it is a threat not only in the philippines but also in the other neighboring countries... north korea is a communist country... their beliefs hasn't change much compared to the last few decades... they have chosen to close their doors to other countries... like letting other country see their way of life... they might have talk about other issues but on top of all that... their not willing to talk about what are the developments that they have on their country... including the missile that they have launch last May which alarmed most of the developed countries.. so if those developed countries are alarmed.. why shouldn't the third world countries?? after all.. we are being helped by those developed countries that's why we're still standing... and remember.. COMMUNISM IS WICKED... THEY'LL DESTROY EVERYTHING THAT WILL BE A HINDRANCE TO THEIR GOAL.. ONE OF THEIR GOALS... EXPANDING THEIR TERRITORIES... MAKING THEMSELVES POWERFUL ENOUGH TO CONTROL EVERYONE.... AND WHAT'S MORE SCARY... THEY HAVE THE ADVANTAGE IF A WAR BREAKS OUT... WE DON'T HAVE MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THEM SINCE THEY RESTRICTED FOREIGNERS FROM GOING TO THEIR COUNTRY....
