I'm thinking of vacationing in Ireland and would like to know what you think I should do while there. Any and all recommendations are welcome. Add links as well if you like.

Ireland has quite a bit to see and do, and much of what you will want to experience depends on your personal preference. However, I think I have a site that may help you plan your visit. The link below will take you to information on Dublin, Limerick, and Tralee, complete with activity and hotel information and reservations, as well as general information on the area.

Hope this helps!

It depends on how long you can stay. If you're staying for a week, you might be better off visiting some of the bigger cities like Dublin, but if you're staying for longer, why not try and get about the country? Ireland is quite a small island, so you might as well. There is a magnificent beach in Co Kerry called Banna Beach near the town of Ardfert and it is the most stunning beach. I would recommend there!

I lived in City Centre Dublin for over a year and two of my favorite places to take my guests were Howth and Bray; both easily accessible by the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transportation).
Howth is a lovely fishing town with a great cliff walk. If you don't feel like walking to the top, take the bus and then just walk down the cliffs! They also have a great little market on Sundays.
Bray is also a quaint town on the coast with a hiking trail up a mountainside with a cross madona at the top. No buses for this one unfortunately. Make sure you stop at the Porterhouse Bar & Hotel for some one of a kind microbrews!

I think Ireland is a beautiful place to plan a vacation to! Lucky You! I would definitely start out with a destination guide. You get amenities, spots to visit, restaurants to be sure to eat at, fun things to do, information and more. I would go to http://www.itravelaway.webs.com/ and scroll down to the destination guides and write down stuff from there. You can also book discount packages and stuff.
Wish I were going with you, and I think the Destination Guide is the best answer for this type of question.
Cheers!

I'd recommend a visit to Dublin at some point during your holiday. I'd recommend the following-
Phoenix park (containing the zoo, wellington memorial, ashtown castle)
The National Museum (Kildare st. and Collins Barracks sites)
The Guinness storehouse.
Temple bar
The national gallery (on Merrion Sq.)
Dublinia medieval exhibition (on winetavern st, christchurch.)
The national botanic gardens (Botanic road, glasnevin)
Viking splash tour,
Various city bus tours,
Trinity college and the book of kells (college green)
Christchurch cathederal.
The GPO (o'connell st)
Dublin Castle (Dame st.)
And soooo much more.
I'd also recommend a visit to Newgrange megalithic burial chamber, Co. Meath.
The ring of kerry
Kilkenny
Cork city
The Burren (Co. Galway)
That should keep you busy! lol!
