What are family values, anyhow?

American "family values" are based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ. You asked.

I think that family values are determined by each family. One family's set of values may be different than another family's set of values.

This country has embraced the ideology that you should do whatever you feel is right.

Go ahead, have sex with who you want, when you want and if you get pregnant, end that unwanted pregnancy without a second thought.

This nation has no set of moral values; so why do we expect our leaders to live any more morally than we?

There family values and there are families without values, don't confuse the two.

It is short for family OF values...meaning you hold what ever member of the value family is convenient at the time.

There are a lot of them. One of them is being faithful to your wife. Another is a husband and wife being truthful with one another. And a third is a father being at home for Father's day.

Depends who you ask...to me, it's respecting your family no matter what...to the GOP it apparently means cheating on your spouse is OK as long as they never find out.
