Is death a part of life?

Me & this boy had an arguement about it.

This is his question on Yahoo Answers:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Akrkn...

Haha. I'm actually the very bottom answer on there.

I believe that NO. Death is not a part of life.

Death is the end of your life.

Dying is a part of your life because you are still alive.

Death means you are dead, which means you are not alive.

Death is the OPPOSITE of life, which means it is NOT a part of it.

This has nothing to do with the after-life, this has to do with if you died right now, would it be a part of your life.

It would be a part of other peoples lives, but if you are DEAD, then your life is gone.

Lol.

Let's take the logical approach. Life, in order to "be" has to have a beginning and end. Now this raises a few questions.

Where does the beginning of life start? Conception, birth, adolescence, adulthood, marriage, etc.

What is considered the end of life? Death, marriage, adulthood, adolescence, a personal tragedy ("she broke up with me, my life is over")

So in essence it can be said that Life begins and ends multiple times through out one's existence. Death as it is, is just the last stage of the Life in question, so therefore Death would be the end of Life, and if it were a book, "The End" is most definitely part of the book.

Death happens to you when you are alive. It is something that will happen to anyone living. It is a process and it is part of the life cycle.

Death is part of life. It's a cycle. (CIRCLE OF LIFE!) What's the point of life if there is no death?

But it really depends on your religion, how you you were raised, and your culture on how you feel about death.

I agree. I don't believe in life after death.

    After all, why should I?

because some old book says so?

I look at it scientifically. if there is no proof, than it is considered untrue until proven otherwise.
