What do you think of the Oscars expanding the Best Picture category to 10 nominees starting in 2010?

It will be interesting, though I wish it could have started this past year so The Dark Knight and WALL-E could have been nominated.

Update:

Some could argue that The Dark Knight and WALL-E were more worthy than several of this past years nominees. Unfortunately politics and Academy prejudices seem to play a part in the nominating process, which is why I'm willing to give this a chance.

Update 2:

For the record, I haven't thumbed anyone down here, and I won't

10 isn't everyone, it's still very exclusive and i think it's a good thing. there are some really good stuff out there that deserves to be recognized but maybe not win and expanding the nominees will give those movies that recognition

Back in the day, they used to do as many nominees as they wanted, and it changed from year to year. That's what I think should definitely happen. The Dark Knight should have taken it and I wish Up would get a nom for Best Pic this year but it probably wont because of the 5-movie limit.

    i think it's absurd

the oscars aren't about including everyone...they're about the best of the best.

The Dark Knight was overhyped and not worthy of an academy award nomination. That's why it didn't receive them. Five bucks said you didn't watch all the nominated films, because nominations aren't based on popular opinion!
