downloading problems?

how to download stuff off the internet onto an acer espire one laptop without windows or microsoft please help

    Go and get a copy of Knoppix (Legal Free Linux) Live CD and pop it in the machine - Reboot and boot from the CD of Knoppix. You will get a Windows like desktop with some preinstall apps etc and assuming your machine is supported you should be able to get ont he web. Download what you want.

    For more info on how to use Knoppix - do a quick search, as you obviously have Internet seeing as how you posted this !
