It was sad and shocking. In the 80's he was at the top and then it all fell apart. Fans didn't want to believe the allegations but his personal behavior only added fuel to the flames. He made a lot of people happy for a very long time but the last years of his life are just tragic and he only has himself to blame. On the positive side his music will last forever.

Totally devistated! He was a legend and an icon. He was what I listened to growing up. Just like when Elvis died and people still are obsessed with him and sad. This will be remembered and talked about for YEARS!

i'm no longer unhappy, I do experience for the relatives. Whats unhappy is not any one gave a rats -- whilst Ed Mcmahon died, Fara Fossett had lost her conflict with maximum cancers this i detect unhappy. unhappy is listening to whilst a baby has died, unhappy grow to be whilst my brother passes away at 29.

ofcourse it's sad , Rip MJ . He was one of the few who actually had true 'celebrity' status - which was hard earned. Im 90's generation and i liked his music together with my parents.
