What the hell were the Knicks doing?

I figured acquiring the 29th pick from LA would lead to a package: how about the 8th pick, the 29th, and a player to move up in the draft? That doesn't happen and they take Jordan Hill? Ok, VERY athletic but does he have a jumper? Does he have the low post moves? Sounds like a poor-man's Amare Stoudmire...ok, I can live it...only if they can get the ball to him.

The 29th pick? Toney Douglas? Ok, console me or reassure me he's better than I think because I haven't heard jack about this guy? And Jodie Meeks falling so far? Calathes? A 6' 5" point guard who won't make the stupid play?

Maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe I'm just used to bad Knicks drafts? Your thoughts?

yea ripped my hair out at the draft. with the 29th pick you can't expect a stud anymore. i think hes decent but the 8th pick is what killed me. we needed a guard (actually we need everything) but to me it was a suprise. what hurt me is listening to dumb donnie walsh saying afterwards

"at that point i knew we'd get stephen curry or jordan hill so we were happy" - paraphrasing

but what the hell. how can he really be satisfied losing curry and taking him. i thought wed trade up but that didn't happen....

As, a Knicks fan I am puzzled to, but have faith we have gotten much better this year than years passed and Walsh is a very smart tactical GM and D'Antoni is really a good coach. I think Hill was the best we could do in that moment in time do not know about Douglas, but word on the street is he is a defensive player and we desperately need that we need our version of what the Matrix and Bell where to a run n gun offensive juggernaut Mike D led Phoenix team. Cause right now we do not have one.

We have still many trades to go and as bad as some of our drafts have been. We have gotten good picks, like David Lee, Danilo Gallinari, and Wilson Chandler. If Lee keeps this up he will be a All-star in no time and Chandler along w. a lot of the young players on our team have a lot of promise.

Also, being that we have made some stupid moves as well. I have also learned never to be surprised of what stupid things a James Dolan owned team could do. 2 words Frederic Weis, that was the player we passed Ron Artest up for in the 1999 NBA Draft.

If David Lee does not get his $ and get retained I would not only seriously doubt our intentions, but I will be fuming through the ears as well.

I know but even after Stephen Curry was taken I was like maybe they should take Ty Lawson because he looks like a good point guard. I guess whoever is in charge, the Knicks will never get it right. But that is until the Knicks make a trade to get Rubio or Curry. But those chances are slim. **** I hated that Golden State took Curry.
