Tell me about the H20 Twin Engine Harley Davidson is coming out with, is it water cooled, Japanese design?

HD's 96 inch engine will never receive EPA emission approval beyond 2010 so its going to be replaced with the new H20 Twin Engine?

Tell me about the H20 engine, what size is it, is it going to be quiet, water cooled, fuel injection?

not Jap desighn,Porsche keeps helping them with their stuff! And yup overhead cam, liquid cooled. The pushrod motor is dead! So the Yamaha Roadstar pushrod motor is gonna say goodby as well.Never did understand why Yamaha went BACKWARDS with a pushrod motor.

I don't know. I have heard that alot of the new 96 inch motors being built are set up for easy conversion for factory water cooled conversion. I recently bought a newer Harley. I test drove a couple completely stock, they sounded like a blender. Gone are the days of the $200.00 stage one kit. Its a given most guys are gonna add slip ons before the bike even hits the street. I doubt that fuel injection will go away it would not only be a step backward to many, it is a great thing to push the average joe into the service dept. I dont know much about the h2o motor to be honest. I do know from the bike I bought new 10 years ago and the bike I own today. Two different animals. The new one definitely better performer but also needed alot more cash thrown at to get what I wanted. In the end politicians and harley will be happy and the average harley guy wallet gets drained as he rides something more and more honda like and further from what caught my eye years ago.

Oh now don't you just hate smug gits like that? All with the "look what I've got that you haven't" attitude. I'm no mechanic and not much of a petrolhead, but I'm sure that such a thing is possible - when I was a girl I watched my mad uncle fit a five-litre V8 into the back of a Fiat 500, so a bike engine in a lawnmower should be just as do-able. Perhaps you should ask around at the local garages and se what they say? It can't be too hard to find someone nearby with the right know-how. Is there a guy in your neighbourhood who spends all his time tinkering with his car? Ask him as well.

What do you care??? For hating and despising Harley Davidson SO MUCH, you sure do spend alot of time up their butt!! You say you are going to buy one and you love them,..You study them, obsess over them, slobber at the dealerships until they run you off and then you come on here whining and crying about being "snubbed". Look, I have told you a MILLION times: if you want respect: EARN IT. If you want to be accepted: ACT LIKE IT. Constantly and incessantly trying to find a chink in the armor and nit picking like a 7 year old is NOT winning you any friends,... do you not understand that? Do you not understand that constitutes sociopathic behavior?

you need not worry about the new design Harley has in the works. -And, NO they're not japanese inspired, designed or built.

BTW HD has open-ended approval for the 96 based on EFI research and development with ethanol fuel(s). (the fuel industry paid for the lobbyists) Your buddy Obama wants them to find a way for the 96 to run as efficiently as possible. Plus, The US Secretary of transportation, Mary Peters and her husband both ride Harley's.... go figure.

Come on Bart, you're the Harley expert - why are you asking us?

    Anyway, lemme guess.

    H20 probably = 2-litre

H two oh = water, so probably water cooled

Fuel injected; yes, with throttle body that looks like a carby (as per Triumph Bonneville)

Quiet? Come on, this is a Harley! They'll be quiet when they sell them, but you'll get a free set of slip-ons with every bike!

Japanese design: unless the Japs built a v-twin in 1902 that nobody knows about, I'd say it was Harley that invented them, so, no.

Source(s): Same sense of humour as Bart

I haven't acquired all the proper facts about the H20, but I have received quite a bit of info on the B19. It has a loud, hot air cooled rotary mill. It makes a lot of noise and never gets anywhere. I am sure the H20 is better than the B19.

IF HARLEY BUILDS H/2/O ENGINE I CAN RIDE IN SUMMER W/O BURNING MY LEGS OR OVERHEATING. AT 70 I HAVE OWNED ALMOST ALL BIKES. LOOK AT ALLL USED HARLEYS 4 SALE????? THERE'S A REASON!!!!!!!!

MY INFO IS HARLEY IS COMING UT WITH WATER COOLED SYSTEM FOR SMALL RADIATOR TYPE FOR EACH CYLINDER ---I SAW PHOTO PROTOTYPE. IF YA WANT QUALITY,,LOW COST, TROUBLE FREE---BUY JAP. OIL CHANGES ARE KEY----I CHANGE MINE @ 2,000 MILES MYSELF AND THEN KNOW IT WAS DONE. ( I DONT TRUST DEALERS) PLUS 1/4 THE COST & IF 70 YR OLD CAN---YOU CAN.

I RIDE DAILY---COMFORT IS JAP------EGO MAINIACS ARE HARLEY. NO COMPARRISON TO RIDE. CROTCH ROCKETS ARE THE PROBLEM/DSANGER ON ROADS. ACTIONS BY SOME HARLEYS GIVE BAD NAME TO BIKNG---WEEK END WANNA BE "HELLS ANGELS" MY LAST HARLEY 7-2013 WAS RUN OFF MTN. RD. BY CROTCH ROCKET----"HE NEVER STOPPED" THEN THEY WONDER WHY CRUISER DONT "WAVE" AT THEM.

READ SUM OF COMMENTS AND ONE CAN TELL WHO IS EDUCATED RIDER AND WHO IS HARLEY TYPE'S. ANY BIKE IS GOOD AS LONG AS YOU RIDE!!!!!

HARLEYS & CROTCH ROCKETS DO HAVE ONE COMMON FACTOR----EACH RIDE FROM 0 TO WIDE OPEN DISREGARDING SAFETY.

DONT WORRY, HARLEY IS PRICING THEMSELVES OUT.
