If I Get A New Graphics Card, Will The Sims 3 Work On My Computer?

Hey everyone , I done a test at canyourunit.com to check if I can play The Sims 3 and I failed :( Here are the problems:

CPU

Minimum: (XP) 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent; (Vista) 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent [If built-in graphics chipsets then 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent].

You Have: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.50GHz

Video Card

Minimum: 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 or above / ATI Radeon 9500 or above / Intel GMA 3-series or above)

You Have: Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller (Intel(R) 82845G Graphics Controller)

Video Card Features - Minimum attributes of your Video Card

Video RAM: Required - 128 MB , You have - 64 MB

Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes , You have - Yes

Pixel Shader Ver.: Required - 2.0 , You have - 0.0

So it's my processor and graphics card that are the problems but if I get a new graphics card and run it on the same processor will I be able to play it ? because there's no way I can get a new computer

Thanks for reading xD

I have the same problem with alot of games. Unfortunately, even if you did get a new graphics card, your computer might not be able to handle it. Yours is more likely to hold the card and run it than mine since it is somewhat newer but the best option is to wait and get a new computer. I encourage you to try though since it is still possible to work with a little lag. Other than that you could get a new processor to balance it out but with the costs on everything a new notebook or laptop is half paid. Sorry its not the answer you want but it is what is needed.

Maybe, but it's gonna lag a lot, maybe it will be unplayable. Your CPU is not good enough to play Sims 3.

if you get a new graphics card you should be fine
