Wow.. none of these trees mentioned are Australian species.. But I guess if that was all that was around they would have little choice..,Eucalyptus are a favourite offering splendid flowers and young shoots that many aussie native birds love.. Callistimon (oops spelling) offer bright flowers that the honey eaters love.. Grevillia across the many varieties also offer all year bright flowers full of sweet nectar and pollen for many of the native birds in this region.. You will find that birds can adapt to local varieties often. Have a great day

Native birds are said to only like native trees, but this is just rubbish. Birds eat what they find tasty, they don't care about the originating country of origin.
In my garden Chinese tallow wood is being eaten by number of birds, the seeds from the liquid ambers are eaten by the top knot pigeons and red rump grass parrots, as well as Rosella's. Cedar trees are spread by seed around my area so something is eating them. I am unsure about the twisted willow, you would have to have both a male and a female tree to produce seed and most propagated varieties are male.
Basically if seed is produced one or many types of birds will be interested. The type of tree is irrelevant. My garden is full of exotic trees and shrubs and is full of honey eaters, Rosella's, red wing parrots, top knot pigeons, magpies, blue wrens etc I really don't have many native plants growing.
Basically if the birds can find food from a tree they will be attracted to it.
